A survey of the development of the world's major robotic manufacturers in the Chinese market recently shows that the processing technology of industrial robots in China and the level of developed countries are constantly increasing. Zhao Zhenye, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and director of the Heat Treatment Society of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, said that due to the lack of sufficient attention and corresponding technology development roadmap, heat treatment technology was marginalized and subsidiary, resulting in high-end machinery and equipment in China relying on imports and being subjected to the manufacturing bottleneck of key components, not only with the corresponding technology development roadmap. It is understood that China's equipment manufacturing industry is growing rapidly at an average annual rate of 17%, but the short life, poor reliability and heavy structure of key components are the "three major difficulties" that restrict China's high-end machinery and equipment. The data show that 50%-90% of the total mechanical failure and more than 80% of the aviation components are related to the fatigue of key components. Most of the technical failures in aircraft accidents are caused by the fatigue of key components.
Experts say that developing a national road map for heat treatment technology is the foundation of development. Heat treatment technology endows advanced materials with ultimate performance, which belongs to the national core competitiveness, but at present this technology has not received enough attention. Three major problems have restricted the quality of aircraft landing gear in China for more than 30 years.
In recent years, the number of heat treatment plants in China has increased dramatically, and the heat treatment industry is showing a prosperous scene. However, most heat treatment plants are weak in technology and backward in equipment.
The lack of technology leads to vicious competition and rough manufacturing in the industry. In some areas, heat treatment specialization plants develop blindly and compete viciously, which can not meet the requirements of high-end equipment manufacturing at all. In response, Pan Jiansheng, a professor at Shanghai Jiaotong University, said that heat treatment technology itself accounted for only a few percent of the output value of the manufacturing industry, and its level may make the added value of the whole machine several to dozens of times different.
Zhu Sendi, Vice President and Professor-level Senior Engineer of China Machinery Industry Association, pointed out that advanced heat treatment technology is the core element of the competitiveness of advanced materials and high-end equipment manufacturing industry. The advantages of heat treatment technology in developed industrial countries benefit from the formulation of a sound heat treatment technology roadmap.
Experts worry that our industry relies too much on fast-acting and Quality-free technologies. If we only focus on "good-use" technologies, it means lack of innovation consciousness, and it will be difficult for us to get rid of the vicious circle of "backwardness-introduction-backwardness-reintroduction".
